This place is a Mexican supermarket, has authentic Mexican products, and they have real Mexican Pan Dulce (sweet bread). This place has its own Mexican cuisine, which I have to say is the most authentic Mexican food. The portions and price are reasonable. Great customer service, and they have sweet treats as well.
I been coming here for years to get the Mexican bread and produce. It's a lot busier now but cleaner and more organized. Very affordable prices
I've been to a couple Rancho Markets in the area, but this one might be my favorite. It was a happenin' place to be on an early Friday afternoon! Their bakery section was calling my name. As soon as I walked in I could smell this wonderful sweet bread-y smell. Man! I stopped and looked at it admiringly, then forced myself to walk away. It was very difficult. I went there for supplies to make homemade tamales and was not disappointed. Their produce section was excellent. Has anyone noticed that jalepenos from Rancho Market are way hotter than any you can get elsewhere? They are not messing around, trust me on this. I was also able to stock up on some lovely poblano peppers. They sell fresh pork-rendered lard in their meat section-holy cow (or pig?)! It is miles away better than the Snowcap lard I usually buy. I did get a bag of their prepared tamale dough (they also have tortilla dough), and it was fine, but not fantastic. I will stick to making my own in the future. They have a great variety of dried beans and fun Mexican candy. Also tons of dried herbs and peppers. There were many different Mexican cheeses, so I stocked up on those babies. I just glanced at the meat and it seemed pretty decent. I think it would be worth looking into more in the future. Oh, and they had some fresh made salsas, pico de gallo, and guac that were also tempting. I like to make my own, but in a pinch I bet they'd be great. Prices are low to good. They aren't, like, crazy cheap, but they are decent. Service was pretty much nonexistent, but I knew what I needed, so no biggie. At other Rancho Markets when I have needed help I've run into challenges with employees that don't speak English. But I kind of feel like that's on me. I'm shopping at this clearly Mexican grocery, I should know enough Spanish to be able to ask where a certain product is. So that doesn't bug me too much. Worse comes to worse you pull up a picture of the item on your phone. I like Rancho Market for the reason I love all international grocers: they have lots of cool items that I can't get at my regular grocery store. Just go, even if you aren't looking for anything in particular, and wander the aisles. Sometimes you actually notice more that way!
